About Sabudana Khichdi Recipe

The humble Sabudana makes for a delicious khichdi.

Sabudana Khichdi

Ingredients to make Sabudana Khichdi

  • Sabu dana 1 cup
  • peanuts 1 cup (ground into coarse powder)
  • Chopped cilantro 1/2 cup
  • oil 1 teaspoon
  • ghee 1 teaspoon
  • sugar & salt to taste
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Green chili 2
  • lime juice 3 teaspoons
  • Boiled Potato 1
  • curry leaves for garnish

How to make Sabudana Khichdi

  1. Wash sago and leave it in water overnight.
  2. In a pan heat oil add cumin seeds, saute and add chopped green chili and boiled potato pieces. Mix well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add peanut powder, sugar and salt to sago and mix well.
  4. Now add this to potato mixture and mix well. You can also put roasted peanut powder depending on your taste.
  5. Now add lime and garnish with coriander and fried curry leaves.

My Tip:

Serve it hot with curd and some cucumber salad.
