5 Minutes microwave khatta/white Dhokla

Ingredients to make 5 Minutes microwave khatta/white Dhokla

  • Rice -1/2cup
  • Urad dal (white/dhuli) -1/4 cup
  • Ginger - 1/2inch piece
  • Green chili -1-2
  • Curd - 4-5 tablespoon
  • Salt - as required
  • Baking soda - 1/2 -1 teaspoon OR eno
  • Sugar -1 teaspoon
  • Chill powder - for sprinkle
  • Black pepper - for sprinkle
  • Fruit salt - 2 teaspoon

How to make 5 Minutes microwave khatta/white Dhokla

  1. Soak rice and dal for 6-7 hours, add salt after that
  2. Then drain out water from rice and dal. Grind rice, dal, ginger, green chili and curd into a smooth paste
  3. Cover it and keep it for fermention for 8 hrs or overnight.
  4. Then add baking soda or ENO, fruit salt and stir well.
  5. Take a microwave bowl. Grease it with 1 teaspoon oil, pour the batter immediately after adding baking soda. Sprinkle chili powder and black pepper over it.
  6. Microwave it for 4.5 - 5 minutes. Give it 1-2 minutes of standing time. It is ready to serve.
