Cheesy momo

Ingredients to make Cheesy momo

  • For the filling
  • oil 2tbsp
  • Purple cabbage 250gms
  • carrot. 100gms
  • spring onion 1tcup
  • capsicum 100gms
  • ginger chopped 1tbsp
  • garlic chopped. 2Tbsp
  • Green chilli chopped as per taste
  • Soy sauce 3tbsp
  • vinegar 2tbsp
  • Ajinimotto (optional) 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Cheese grated 300gms
  • pepper 1tbsp
  • For the coating
  • maida. 250gms
  • salt to taste
  • oil. 3tbsp
  • water. As required
  • For the oil
  • Olive oil. 4tbsp
  • Paprika. 1tbsp
  • Celery chopped. 2tbsp

How to make Cheesy momo

  1. In a pan add all the filling ingredients.
  2. Cook till the mixture is dry
  3. Let it cool down.
  4. Add cheese and mix well.
  5. Adjust the seasonings.
  6. Set it aside.
  7. In a mixing bowl make a stiff dough of the coating ingredients.
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  9. Now take a very small portion of the dough and roll it into a small round.
  10. Place 1tsp mixture in the centre.
  11. Now make it into a moon shape.
  12. Now hold the two corners and just stick it to each other.
  13. Place it on a dish and steam it for 20 minutes.
  14. For the oil. Heat olive oil.
  15. When smoking hot. Switch of the gas and add the celery and chilli. And pour it on the steamed momo.

My Tip:

You can shape the momos and mske the flavoured oil in advance for guest. Steam it when to be served.
