About Mawa Coconut Ladoo Recipe

This dessert is especially prepared during the Lord Ganesha festival.

Mawa Coconut Ladoo

Ingredients to make Mawa Coconut Ladoo

  • ghee 1 tbsp
  • Freshly grated coconut 200 gms
  • sugar 200 gms
  • cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • Desiccated coconut to coat the ladoos

How to make Mawa Coconut Ladoo

  1. Heat a nonstick pan, add the ghee, coconut and sugar. Let it cook on a low flame for 10-12 minutes while stirring continuously.
  2. Add the mawa and stir continuously for 10-15 minutes. Then add the cardamom powder and turn off the flame. Let it cool.
  3. Now make the ladoo, coat with desiccated coconut and garnish with pistachios.

My Tip:

We can also prepare burfi from the same recipe.
