Instant Suji Dhokla

Ingredients to make Instant Suji Dhokla

  • Suji 2 cup
  • yogurt 2 cup
  • turmeric powder 1tsp
  • salt to taste

How to make Instant Suji Dhokla

  1. TAKE 2 CUPS OF SEMOLINA, ADD 2 CUPS CURD
  2. ADD 1 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, 1 TBSP SUGAR
  3. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 1 TBSP OIL
  4. ADD 1 TBSP LEMON JUICE
  5. ADD 1/2 CUP OF WATER, MIX WELL
  6. KEEP ASIDE FOR 15 MINS
  7. ADD 3-4 CUPS OF WATER IN A STEAMER, COVER & BOIL
  8. ADD 1/4 TSP BAKING SODA TO THE READY BATTER
  9. ADD 1 POUCH OF ENO
  10. MIX WELL TILL FROTHY
  11. POUR THIS BATTER INTO OIL-GREASED DHOKLA MOULDS
  12. SPRINKLE SOME RED CHILLI POWDER
  13. PLACE THE MOULD INTO THE STEAMER ON TOP OF THE BOILING WATER
  14. COVER & COOK FOR 15-20 MINS ON MEDIUM HEAT
  15. CHECK IF IT'S DONE BY INSERTING A TOOTHPICK INTO THE COOKED DHOKLA
  16. FOR THE TADKA - HEAT 2 TBSP OIL, ADD 1 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS, 6-8 SLIT GREEN CHILLIES
  17. ADD 12-15 CURRY LEAVES, TAKE OFF HEAT WHEN THEY START CRACKLING
  18. SPRINKLE THIS TADKA OVER THE DHOKLA
  19. GARNISH WITH SOME GRATED CARROT & FRESH COCONUT
  20. GARNISH SOME CORIANDER LEAVES.
