Tomato Neer Dosa / Lace Dosa

Ingredients to make Tomato Neer Dosa / Lace Dosa

  • 1 cup raw rice
  • 2 ripe red tomatoes
  • 2 tblsp fresh grated coconut
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • A pich asafoetida
  • salt as to taste

How to make Tomato Neer Dosa / Lace Dosa

  1. Wash and soak rice for 30 minutes
  2. Drain water completely and grind it with other ingredients as mentioned above without adding water,once the paste is smooth and fine remove this to a container
  3. Add water to dilute it to running consistency (milk consistency)
  4. Heat a non stick dosa griddle drizzle oil and pour a ladder from a distance ,spread all over pan lightly as lace (just like rawa dosa)
  5. Drizzle oil on top,close lid and cook till done
  6. This dosa is cooked once side
  7. Serve with coconut chutney

My Tip:

First grind all ingredients to fine batter then only add water to dilute batter.. Beginners can add pour little by little batter on hot tawa
