Very Easy and Tasty

Sugar Candy / ThenMittai

Ingredients to make Sugar Candy / ThenMittai

  • 1 cup idly rice
  • 1/4 th cup Urudu dal
  • oil for deep fry
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar

How to make Sugar Candy / ThenMittai

  1. Take idly Rice and urudu dal wash well and soak for 3 hours
  2. After 3 hours drain it and transfer the mixture jar and blendwell
  3. Grind well until smooth batter and add 1/2 teaspoon of Baking soda. And mix well.
  4. Dosa Batter consistency.
  5. Take a pan and add sugar and add 1/2 cup water make a syrup.
  6. Sugar syrup consistency is 1st string consistency. Then switch off the flame .
  7. Heat a pan add oil for deep fry. And pour the batter little by little.
  8. Cook for Until golden brown, and low to high flame.
  9. After frying soak into sugar syrup For 15-20 Minutes.
  10. Then take out the candy and sprinkle some powdered sugar.
  11. Delicious :yum: sugar candy is ready.

My Tip:

If you Need colour You can add food colours
