About Puff puff Recipe

This is a famous Nigerian recipe. It is very popular West African street food.

Puff puff

Ingredients to make Puff puff

  • Refined flour 250gm
  • Fresh yeast 40gm
  • Powdered sugar 50gm
  • salt 1/2tspn
  • Warm water 1/2cup
  • egg 1
  • Normal water 1/4cup
  • oil for deep fry

How to make Puff puff

  1. First in a bowl take 1/2 cup of water and dissolve fresh yeast in it.
  2. Then add 4tbl spn sugar and mix everything well and keep aside with covering for proofing.
  3. Now in a mixing bowl take refined flour .
  4. Add remain sugar and salt.
  5. Add 1 egg and yeast mixer together with hand and add 1/4cup water and mix well.
  6. Now cover it with a towel and keep for 1 hour.
  7. After 1 hour volume of the mixer increase in double size and then it is ready to fry.
  8. Batter must be thick.
  9. Now in a fry pan heat oil and drop the batter like small ball size with hand.
  10. Fry it in low to medium flame for 3_4 minutes. Or till golden in color.
  11. Use all batter like this and enjoy with coffe or tea.

My Tip:

Do not fry them in high flame.
