About Nani's masala fish Recipe

My granny always make this fish when special guest arrived... N it was like feast for them.

Nani's masala fish

Ingredients to make Nani's masala fish

  • Fish 5 to 6 pieces
  • oil 4 tbsp
  • Fenugreak seed 1 tsp
  • kalonji/ nigella seeds1 tsp
  • Finely chopped tomatoes 3
  • garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Khatai or aamchur powder 2 tsp
  • red chilly powder 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

How to make Nani's masala fish

  1. Soak properly washed fish in salty water for 15 minutes after that drain it.
  2. Heat oil in kadai and fry fishes til done. Remove on plate.
  3. In same oil heat kalonji, fenugreak seed.
  4. Now add garlic paste, tomatoes, red chilly powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, salt, and water. cook til oil comes up. And masalas cook completely.
  5. Ad khatai or aamchur powder in masala.
  6. Now drop fish pices in it. Cover the lid and cook till 10 minutes on low flame.
  7. When done garnish with coriander leaves.

My Tip:

Fenugreak and kalonji are the main ingridient for this specific recipe. So dont skip it.
