Chilly soya masala

Ingredients to make Chilly soya masala

  • oil 2 tbsp
  • cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Chopped onion 1
  • tomato 3 (puree)
  • Deggi mirch 3/4 tsp
  • SDS chap masala 3 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • Soya granules 1/4 cup
  • Soya chunks 1/2 cup
  • capsicum 2 (cut into cubes)
  • onion 1 (cut into cubes)
  • cream 1-2 tbsp
  • Kasoori methi 1/2 tsp

How to make Chilly soya masala

  1. Heat oil in a pan add the cumin seeds and ginger-garlic paste. Saute and let it become brown in colour.
  2. Add the chopped onion, tomato puree, salt, deggi mirch, chap masala. Cover the lid and cook for 5-7 mins or till the oil separates itself.
  3. Add the soya granules and cook for 5 mins. Then add 2 cups of water and let it boil.
  4. In another pan, heat some oil and shallow fry the soya chunks and capsicum. Add the soya chunks into the boiling gravy. Cover the lid and cook it for 5-10 mins.
  5. Add the cubed onion, capsicum, garam masala, kasoori methi, cream and mix it well.
  6. Serve it with roomali roti or naan.

My Tip:

Use readymade soya granules.
