Ingredients to make Nombu kanji/porridge biryani

  • rice-1cup
  • Bengal gram-1/4cup
  • onion-1
  • coconut-1/2cup
  • Mint and coriander leaves-1cup
  • turmeric powder-1/2
  • chilli powder-1tsp
  • Gingergarlic paste-2tbsp
  • tomato-2
  • salt -to taste
  • water-7cups
  • oil-2tbsp

How to make Nombu kanji/porridge biryani

  1. IN A PAN ADD OIL,ONION AND GINGER GARLIC PASTE
  2. ADD TUMERIC POWDER
  3. ADD CHILLI POWDER TO IT
  4. ADD WATER TO IT
  5. CHOP TOMATOES, CARROTS AND SLIT GREEN CHILLIES
  6. ADD TO IT
  7. CHOP CORIANDER LEAVES AND MINT LEAVES ADD TO IT
  8. SOAK RICE AND DAL(1:4) FOR 2-3HRS AND PRESSURE COOK FOR 1 WHISTLE AND 10MINS IN SIM
  9. ADD IT TO BOILING WATER
  10. LET IT BOIL NICELY
  11. BOIL TILL OIL COMES ON TOP
  12. STIR IN BETWEEN AT REGULAR INTERVALS
  13. ADD FINELY GROUND COCONUT PASTE..NOW NOMBU KANJI OR PORRIDGE BIRYANI IS READY
