ABOUT Chicken momos RECIPE

I can never get enough of momos, so this time i have tried a little different shape to this delicious dish.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Minced chicken (200gm)
  2. Chopped onion (1)
  3. Chopped green chillies (2)
  4. Chopped spring onions (1 tbsp)
  5. Ginger garlic paste (1tsp)
  6. Salt
  7. Butter (1 tbsp)
  8. Outer dough:
  9. Maida - 1 cup
  10. Salt
  11. Water
  12. Red chilly chutney:
  13. Dry red chillies - 1/4 th cup
  14. Salt
  15. Sugar - 2 tbsp
  16. Chopped garlic
  17. Chopped ginger
  18. Soya sauce - 1 tsp
  19. Ketchup - 2 tbsp
  20. Ajinamoto (optional) - 1/8 th tsp
  21. Refined oil

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients mentioned and keep aside. Now make a dough with Maida, water and salt.
  2. Roll out the dough very thin into small rounds, fill each round with little mixture. Crimp on one side and stick the other side of the round to get this shape.
  3. Steam the momos in a steamer for 20 minutes . I have used bamboo steamer for the same.
  4. For the red chilly chutney, Soak the red chillies in hot water for 30 minutes.Then remove the chillies and grind them into a paste.
  5. Heat some pan with oil, add the chopped garlic and ginger. Then add the paste and rest of the ingredients and cook for sometime till done..
