About Fish Thoran. Recipe

A simple & delicious sidedish , goes well with rice. We can use any boneless fish or with less bones. I used Mackrel fish.

Fish Thoran.

Ingredients to make Fish Thoran.

  • Mackrel fish 2
  • chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • salt
  • oil 3 or 4 tbsp
  • mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  • To crush
  • grated coconut 5 tbsp
  • Small onions 10
  • Green chillies 5
  • curry leaves a few

How to make Fish Thoran.

  1. Boil fish with salt & turmeric, adding very little water.
  2. Let it cool. take out the flesh from the fish, removing all bones.
  3. Crushed coconut, onion,chillies & a little curry leaves.
  4. Heat a pan with oil. Put mustard. When it splutter, add fish .
  5. Then add chilli powder & coriander powder .stir well.
  6. Then add coconut mixture.
  7. Sprinkle some water & cover & cook on low fire for some more time.
  8. Add the remaining curry leaves. .
  9. Serve hot with rice.

My Tip:

Boneless fish is easy to make. Chillies & chilli powder add according to ur taste.
