Hot and Spicy Chicken Kebab

ABOUT Hot and Spicy Chicken Kebab RECIPE

This is a delicious starter dish which is traditionally cooked on a skewer over fire. You can even grill in an oven or cook in a pan using stove top method.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boneless Chicken 500 gm
  2. Hung Curd 1/2 cup
  3. Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  4. Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  5. Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  6. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  7. Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  8. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  9. Kasuri Methi 1 tsp
  10. Cooking oil 1 tbsp
  11. Butter 2 tbsp
  12. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse and clean the boneless chicken pieces and drain the water completely.
  2. In mixing bowl add all the ingredients except oil and butter and mix well.
  3. Now add the chicken pieces into the mixing bowl and marinate well. Set aside for at least 1 hour.
  4. Heat a non stick pan and when it is hot add oil and butter to avoid butter getting burnt if added directly.
  5. You can place marinated chicken pieces on skewers and then place it in the pan or add directly into pan.
  6. Cook the kebabs for first two minutes in a high flame and then in low flame.
  7. Flip all the chicken pieces or skewer to cook other side of the kebab and turn off the flame when kebabs are cooked evenly on both the sides.
  8. Fire up a small piece of charcoal on a direct gas flame and place it in a small bowl after it start glowing.
  9. Place the bowl with glowing charcoal at the centre of the pan and add a teaspoon of ghee. You can see smoke and close the lid immediately. Let it be for few more minutes.
  10. Smoking of kebab is optional but it taste delicious.
  11. Serve hot and spicy chicken kebab with mint yogurt chutney.
