About Russian salad Recipe

A colourful Russian salad is a mix of crunchy vegetables and mayonnaise. one can always adapt recipe to their own taste.

Ingredients to make Russian salad

  • 1 beetroot
  • 1/4 cabbage
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2-3 carrots
  • 2 medium potatoes - boiled or fried
  • 1 small cucumber
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas- defrosted
  • 1/4 cup of mayonnaise

How to make Russian salad

  1. 1. Cut the vegetables in cubes or Julienes or desired shape. I’ve spiralised them but traditionally they are cubed.
  2. 2. Potatoes are traditionally are boiled , cubed and added . But I’ve spiralosed them and deep fried.
  3. 3. Mix all cut vegetables ,peas and mayonnaise and mix thoroughly so vegetables coat properly.
  4. 4. Chill the prepared salad and serve.

My Tip:

Though the salad has very few ingredients, it tastes very delicious and crunchy. One should make it to believe. I don’t like taste of boiled potatoes in salad hence I’ve fried them.
