Aam Ki Chutney

Ingredients to make Aam Ki Chutney

  • oil 2 tsp
  • asafoetida 1 pinch
  • Ajwain 1/2 tsp
  • Fannel seeds 1/2 tsp
  • kalonji 1/2 tsp
  • Deggi mirch 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Black salt 1/4 tsp
  • Grated raw mango 1/2 cup
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • Grated beetroot 1 tbsp

How to make Aam Ki Chutney

  1. Heat a pan add oil, hing, ajwain, saunf, kalonji , chilly powder, salt, black salt, saute for a minute on low flame.
  2. Add grated mango and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add sugar. The mixture will be a little watery. Add grated beetroot.
  3. Cook for 7-8 minutes. Consistency should be like a sauce. Turn off the flame.
  4. Let it cool, it will be thick like jam.

My Tip:

If you want bright yellow colour in chutney, avoid beetroot.
