Awadhi styled chicken, creamy, spicy and delicious chicken curry to be served with some naan on the side.

Awadhi chicken korma

Ingredients to make Awadhi chicken korma

  • chicken 750gm
  • Brown onion paste 1 cup
  • 1/2 cup cashew and almond paste
  • 1.5 cup tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup green chillies paste
  • 2 tbsp curd
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1.5 tsp coriander powder
  • salt
  • cream 1/2 cup
  • 1 cup milk
  • Kasuri methi 1 tsp
  • mace 1 tsp
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 1 stick bay leaf
  • 2 clove
  • 4 pepper corns

How to make Awadhi chicken korma

  1. Marinate the chicken with curd ginger garlic paste and turmeric and salt , red chilli powder garam masala coriander powder and kasuri methi
  2. Heat oil in pan. Add whole spices
  3. Add the chicken in it. On a high flame.cook the chicken till golden on both sides
  4. Add the tomato paste, green chilli paste, and excess marinate mixure. Cook for 10 min
  5. Now add brown onion paste, cashew almond paste, cream. And mix well. Cover and cook for 20 min. In low flame
  6. After 20 min add in the milk. Mix well cook for 5min.
  7. When done.. serve hot with naan paratha or roti.
