ABOUT Herbed Roasted Chicken Leg With Veggies RECIPE

A classic chicken roast recipe which is easy to prepare and at the same time delicious and tasty flavorful chicken. This roast Chicken leg is quick and easy and makes a scrumptious dish. The chicken is brusting with mixed flavors of herbs. The chicken is juicy and tender.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 large whole chicken leg
  2. 3 Garlic Cloves crushed + 3-4 whole
  3. ½ tbsp dried rosemary
  4. ½ tbsp dried thyme
  5. 1 tsp cracked peppercorns
  6. 1 tbsp Chilly flakes
  7. 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 2 tbsps Butter
  10. 1 potato cubed
  11. 1 tomato cubed
  12. 1 onion cubed
  13. Few purple Cabbage
  14. 1 small carrot cubed
  15. 2 whole green chillies

Instructions

  1. Take the whole chicken leg and make slashes over it. Rub the crushed garlic and lemon juice over the chicken. Keep aside for sometime. The longer marination the better.
  2. Now season the chicken and veggies with cracked peppercorns, chilly flakes, salt to taste and the herbs.
  3. Preheat oven @200° for 10 mins. Take the baking tray and spread the melted butter. Lay the chicken leg and spread the seasoned veggies around it.
  4. Throw the whole garlic and some herbs over the chicken and roast them @200° for 25-30 mins flipping over the chicken in the mid way cooking.
  5. Reduce the temperature to 180° and roast for about 10-15 mins.
