ABOUT Fish curry with rice RECIPE

It is a spicy curry preparation of fish which is had with steamed rice.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Rohu fish - 250gms
  2. for marinate:
  3. red chilli powder
  4. turmeric
  5. salt
  6. lemon juice
  7. For curry:
  8. onions chopped-1 cup
  9. tomatoes chopped-1cup
  10. ginger garlic paste-2spoons
  11. mustard oil-to cook
  12. Cumin, Brown Mustard, Fenugreek, Nigella and Fennel seeds - mix 1 tablespoon
  13. red chilly powder
  14. turmeric powder
  15. coriander powder
  16. salt
  17. garam masala

Instructions

  1. first mix marinate together and allow fish in it for atleast 30min in fridge..
  2. After 30 min fry the fish in mustard oil and keep aside,
  3. Take out the extra oil from pan and leave only 2 spoons in it.Add panch phoron in it let in crackle.
  4. Add slitted green chilly.
  5. Now add chopped onions and stir till they are light brown.
  6. Add some ginger garlic paste, followed by chopped tomatoes.
  7. Put some salt, coriander powder, red chilly powder and turmeric powder.
  8. sauté it well till it leaves oil.
  9. Time to add fish with marinate to the curry .
  10. Add some crushed black pepper and water to cook.
  11. Close the lid and let it cook.
  12. After 10 mins chk the fish .
  13. Serve the fish on top of rice, with green chilly and chopped dhaniya.
