Namkeen

Ingredients to make Namkeen

  • potato chips (phalahari) 1 packet
  • sago chips 1 packet
  • sago rounds 1 packet
  • potato kis {aloo ka kis }1 packet
  • peanuts 1 cup
  • Makhane 1 cup
  • cashew 1/2 cup
  • raisins 1/2 cup
  • Badam / almonds 1/2 cup
  • curry leaves a handful
  • green chillies 4
  • turmeric powder as per taste
  • sendha namak as per taste
  • Powdered sugar 2 tsp
  • oil for frying

How to make Namkeen

  1. Heat oil and fry all the potato chip and kis as well as the sago chips rounds, peanuts and dry fruits. Keep aside.
  2. In a separate saucepan, heat a little oil and temper it curry patta. Add turmeric powder and sendha namak to it.
  3. Add all of this to the fried namkeen. Mix well.
  4. It can be kept for whole navratri and enjoyed

My Tip:

Keep it in air tight container for preventing it from becoming soft.
