A sidedish that goes well with rice .

Dry prawns chutney.

Ingredients to make Dry prawns chutney.

  • Dry prawns 1/2 cup
  • Grated coconut 1cup
  • Small onion 10
  • Red chillies 10, or according to taste
  • garlic cloves 2
  • curry leaves a few
  • tamarind pulp tsp
  • salt.
  • oil 1 tbsp

How to make Dry prawns chutney.

  1. Clean dry prawns. Remove it s head part.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan . Fry prawns , garlic, onions & red chillies for 4 to 5 min, till prawns r fried & onions r soft.
  3. Then add coconut & curry leaves. Fry for a few more min without changing the colour of the coconut too much.
  4. Let it cool.
  5. Then grind it with the rest of the ingredients , without adding water. If needed , just sprinkle some water.
  6. Add one tsp of coconut oil & stir well. It should b thick.
  7. Serve with rice & if u like u can take it with idly, dosa anything.

My Tip:

It will last for 2,3 days, if kept in fridge.
