Nutrela soya Walnut Cookies


  • 1 cup treated* Nutrela high protein Soya granules
  • ½ cup sifted flour
  • ½ cup ground sugar
  • 2 tbsp sifted cocoa OR 4 cubes of unsweetened chocolate
  • ¼ tsp each of salt
  • vanilla essence as required
  • ½ cup chopped walnut
  • ½ cup vanaspati


  1. First beat vanaspati till it becomes smooth and soft like cream
  2. Then add ground sugar & mix well
  3. Now add cocoa or melted chocolate, salt and vanilla essence to this mix and Cream further
  4. Now remove moisture from treated* Nutrela granules by pressing with a dry napkin and add to the creamed mixture
  5. Now take a bowl and mix flour to the cream mix prepared along with walnut and if too moist add little more flour
  6. Now sprinkle some flour onto a greased tray. Put about a tbsp of the dough one by one at a distance of about 2 to 3 cm on this tray
  7. Bake at 190 Celsius for 15 mins till baked & then cool on a tray and store in an airtight container
