About Sooji ka halwa Recipe

Samolina cooked in sugar syrup with dry fruits .

Sooji ka halwa

Ingredients to make Sooji ka halwa

  • Sooji (semolina) 1 cup
  • gram flour 1 tbsp
  • ghee 1/4 cup
  • sugar less than 1 cup
  • water 3 Cups
  • Milk 1 cup
  • cardamom pwd 1/2 tsp
  • Mix dry fruits 3 tbsp (Cashews, Almonds, Raisins, pistachios)

How to make Sooji ka halwa

  1. Heat ghee in a broad pan, add sooji and gram flour, roast it on a low flame till golden colour.
  2. Add water and milk slowly and carefully, add sugar, let it boil till sooji absorbs all the water. And mixture starts leaving the pan.
  3. Add cardamom powder and dry fruits, turn off the flame.
  4. Garnish with dry fruits and serve hot .

My Tip:

We can add water instead of milk .
