ABOUT Golden Tikka RECIPE

Authentic Chicken Tikka flavoured with spices that are a delicasy of Punjab.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Half kg Boneless Chicken cut into bite sized pieces.
  2. 1st Marination...
  3. 1 tsp ginger paste
  4. 1 tsp garlic paste
  5. 1/2 tsp green chille paste
  6. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  8. Salt as per taste
  9. Half lemon juice
  10. 2nd Marination....
  11. 2 tbsp hung curd (water squeezed by hanging curd in a muslin cloth)
  12. 3 tsp gram flour ( besan )
  13. 1 tsp kasuri methi ( crushed in palms)
  14. Salt as per taste
  15. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  16. Pinch of yellow colour
  17. 1 tsp amchur powder
  18. Lastly....2 tsp oil.
  19. 2 Cheese cubes for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken pieces with ingredients of 1st marination for 30 minutes.
  2. Mix gently all the ingredients of 2nd marination
  3. Marinate chicken pieces again in the above mixture for 30 minutes
  4. Arrange the Chicken pieces on skewers
  5. Heat 1 tsp oil in non stick pan and arrange skewers on the pan.
  6. Once they turn golden brown....Turn around the skewers and spread 1 tsp oil all around the pan.
  7. OR....Grill the skewers in preheated oven at 360℃ brushing with oil ....Turning around in between until you get desired colour .
  8. OR....Roast the skewers on open fire on gas burner .
  9. Arrange the skewers on serving plate and garnish with grated cheese.
