Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 800 gm chicken pieces (boneless)
  2. For marination: 2 tsp red chilli powder
  3. 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  4. 1 tbsp coriander powder
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 500 gm yogurt
  7. For gravy: 150 gm buttter
  8. 500 gms tomato, blanched deseeded and pureed
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 100 gm cream
  11. kasoori methi powder 1 tsp
  12. sugar 1 tsp (optional)
  13. 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  14. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  15. 1 tsp cumin powder

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with above-mentioned ingredients for 6-8 hours or preferably overnight.
  2. Cook chicken 3/4 th in a tandoor or oven. Heat a kadhai, add half the quantity of butter, 1 tsp oil to prevent the burning of butter.
  3. Add tomato puree, red chilli powder, sugar, kashmiri chilli powder, kasoori methi powder, cumin powder and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Add chicken to the rest of the butter and cream, cook till chicken is cooked and the gravy thickens. Serve with rice/naan.
