Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 kg firm fish fillet
  2. Salt to taste
  3. For green chutney
  4. 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  5. 3/4 cup mint leaves
  6. 2 green chilies
  7. 1/2 tsp lime juice
  8. 1 tsp Grated Ginger
  9. 1/2 tsp ginger minced
  10. For batter
  11. 1/2 cup besan
  12. Water as required
  13. Salt to taste
  14. 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  15. 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  16. Oil to shallow fry
  17. FOR CURRY
  18. 1/2 cup Cream
  19. 1 cup curd
  20. 3/4 tsp turmeric
  21. 1/4 teaspoon Red chili powder
  22. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  23. 4 tsp oil
  24. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut fish fillet. Marinate with salt for 10 minutes
  2. Grind all ingredients mentioned under chutney. Keep aside
  3. Prepare smooth batter mixing all ingredients under batter section
  4. Reserve 2 TSP chutney seperately. Cover the top of each fillet with chutney and place the chutney covered portion on top of other to form sandwich. Keep aside for 15 minutes
  5. Heat oil. Coat the sandwich fish with besan batter and shallow fry until golden brown. Keep aside
  6. Mix cream, curd, turmeric, chili powder, reserved chutney, salt with 2-3 tbsp water in a bowl and keep it aside
  7. Heat oil in a pan, splutter cumin seeds. Add curd mixture and mix well. Once it starts bubbling, add fish pieces. Gently stir and switch off. Garnish with mint and corriander leaves, serve hot with roti or rice
