About Nutritious Masala Roti Recipe

Carrot masala chapathi is soft, healthy and tasty breakfast. Kids love to have it for tiffin as well as lunch boxes also.

Nutritious Masala Roti

Ingredients to make Nutritious Masala Roti

  • wheat flour 1 cup
  • wheat flour 1/2 cup for dusting
  • Fine rava 1 cup
  • cornflour 5 tsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • water
  • For filling...
  • onion chopped 3 cup
  • Cooked carrot 1/4 kg
  • Soaked, cooked green gram 1 cup
  • water to cook
  • salt to taste
  • Cooking oil 1/4 cup
  • Jeera powder 1 tsp mixed grated paneer 1 cup
  • ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Ciba taaza kitchen king or any masala powder 2 tsp

How to make Nutritious Masala Roti

  1. TAKE 1 CUP EACH OF WHEAT FLOUR & SEMOLINA
  2. ADD 5 TSP CORNFLOUR, 1 TSP SALT
  3. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER, KNEAD A DOUGH, COVER & KEEP ASIDE FOR 30 MINS
  4. COOK 250 GMS CARROT, 1 CUP PRE-SOAKED ( 5 HOURS ) GREEN GRAM, MASH WELL
  5. HEAT 1/4 CUP OIL, ADD 3 CUPS CHOPPED ONIONS, FRY TILL TRANSLUCENT
  6. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 2 TSP GINGER-GARLIC PASTE
  7. ADD THE MASHED CARROT-DAL MIX
  8. ADD 1 TSP EACH OF CUMIN & GARAM MASALA POWDERS MIXED WITH 1 CUP GRATED COTTAGE CHEESE, TAKE OFF HEAT
  9. TAKE SMALL BALLS OF THE READY DOUGH, ROLL INTO THIN ROTIS
  10. ROAST ON A HOT TAVA
  11. FLIP & COOK FROM BOTH SIDES
  12. PLACE SOME READY FILLING IN THE CENTRE
  13. FOLD & PRESS DOWN THE EDGES, SERVE HOT
