Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. 1 cup samak ke chawal , grind to a powder
  2. 1/2 cup sabudana , grind to a powder
  3. Water as required
  4. Sendha namak as per taste
  5. Oil for roasting the dosas
  6. For Masala:
  7. 2 big boiled and roughly mashed potatoes
  8. 2 green chillies chopped
  9. 1 tsp chopped ginger
  10. 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  11. 1/2 tsp jeera
  12. 1 tsp red chilly powder
  13. 1 tsp dhania powder
  14. 1/2 tsp amchur powder
  15. Salt to taste
  16. 1 tbsp oil
  17. For Green Coconut Chutney:
  18. 1 cup chopped coriander
  19. 1 cup freshly grated coconut
  20. 4 green chillies
  21. Salt to taste
  22. 1 tbsp hung curd
  23. 1 tsp sugar
  24. 1 tsp jeera

Instructions

  1. For Dosa: Mix both the powders together and add water little by little and make a semi thick batter. Leave the batter for at least 6 hours for fermentation.
  2. Now add salt to taste , heat a tawa , first on high then make it medium high.Grease the tawa and then wipe with a tissue or a soft piece of cloth. Pour the batter in the center with a ladle and spread in circular motion , making the shape of a dosa .
  3. Pour little oil on all sides and flip the dosa and roast on the other side . When becomes brown from both the sides take it out and serve.
  4. For Masala: Heat oil in a pan and put jeera , let it splutter and add green chillies and ginger , saute , then add red chilly powder and dhania powder ,mix well.
  5. Now add roughly mashed potatoes and salt , mix well and let them roast on low heat for 5-7 min. Now add amchur powder, mix well and add chopped coriander . It is ready to serve.
  6. For Green Coconut Chutney: Mix all the ingredients except curd in a mixer grinder and grind. Then add curd and again grind into a smooth paste , if the chutney is too thick then add little water. It is ready to serve.
  7. Serve dosas with potato masala and green coconut chutney.
