Daal makhni

Ingredients to make Daal makhni

  • 500 gm black whole lentils.
  • ginger 1 inch
  • garlic I whole pod
  • fenugreek leaves 1/2 tspn
  • Kashmiri chilli Powder 1 tspn
  • red chilli powder 1 tspn
  • asafoetida 1/2 tspn
  • tomato purée 100 gm
  • cream 50 ml
  • ghee6 to 8 tspn

How to make Daal makhni

  1. wash lentils.
  2. add in cooker lentils. grated ginger. garlic Kashmiri mirch red chilli power salt and cook for 40 minuets.
  3. open the cooker add tomato purée 3 tspn ghee and close the lid again cook for 20 minuets
  4. open the lid add cream . fenugreek leaves and Cook for 5 minuets open
  5. prepare tempering of ghee . asafoetida. and chopped garlic
  6. add to cooked lentils.
