About Badi Nimona Recipe

This is a famous Awadhi dish, specially made in winters.

Badi Nimona

Ingredients to make Badi Nimona

  • 1 big ball of ready urad dal wadi
  • haldi 1/2 tsp
  • 2 cups green peas into paste
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  • green chilli ginger paste 1 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • oil as
  • 1 tbsp water as per consistency

How to make Badi Nimona

  1. In a cooker add oil, fry the badi and remove, in the same oil, add the ginger chilli paste, add green peas paste and keep stirring till oil separates.
  2. Add garam masala powder, salt, haldi and water according to consistency, break the badi and add.
  3. Close the lid and cook for 15 minutes on a low flame or till done. Serve hot.

My Tip:

While frying the urad wadi fry till brown, to get a good flavour.
