Langar wali dal is famous prasad in langar at gurdwara sahib. Basically it is made from two lentils, whole black gram (urad dal) and split bengal gram (chana dal). There are no specific spices added to the dal. It is a very simple delicacy of punjab. Langar wali dal is a slow cook recipe. At gurudwara sahib people make this dal in a big pot on deg (fire). But a I have made it in a pressure cooker.
