- 1 cup whole black gram (Urad dal)
- 1/4 cup split bengal gram (Chana dal)
- Water as required
- Salt as per taste
- Turmeric powder 1 tsp
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- For tempering - 2 tbsp ghee /clarified butter
- Cumin seeds 2 tsp
- 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 4 green chilli finely chopped
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes finely chopped
- Red chilli powder 2 tsp
