Celery Tofu curry

Ingredients to make Celery Tofu curry

  • tomatoes (medium sized) - 3
  • onions (large) -1
  • Celery stick -2
  • Refined oil - 1 Tbsn
  • cumin seeds- 1 tspn
  • coriander seeds - 1 Tspn
  • Red chillies - 3 / red chilly Powder - 1 Tspn
  • cardamom - 2 nos.
  • Tofu - 50 gms
  • Cinnamom - small piece
  • turmeric Powder - a pinch
  • salt for taste
  • coriander leave - for garnishing

How to make Celery Tofu curry

  1. Take 3 tomatoes medium size and 1 onion large size, 2 tender sticks celery stalk, chop them and half fry in a pan, keep it separate.
  2. In an empty sauce pan add 1tbsp refined oil then 1tspn cumin seeds, 1tspn of coriander seeds, small piece of Cinnamon, a pinch of turmeric, 3 long red chili or 1tspn powder and season the same
  3. After the splutter bring the onion and tomato together mix well and cool it
  4. Add little water and smoothly paste the mix.
  5. Take the gravy in the pan and add 20 fresh celery leaves, 2 cardamom, and 50 grams of tofu cut into small cubes, few juliennes of ginger, heat it to cook.
  6. . When the rich aromas spread, off the flame and add salt for taste, garnish with coriander leaves and serve with Poori, Chapattis, Bread, Dosa, Iddiappam (string hopper), Appam ( hopper) and Pulao Rice
  7. NOTE- IF TOFU IS SALTED DO NOT ADD SALT.
