About Raw Oats Porridge Recipe

Oats were first introduced in the Jammu and Kashmir State by the then King, Maharaja Hari Singh (1925-1947) in his stud farms. The seeds were imported from Europe. Afterwards Oats became extensively popular in northern India. Oats are gluten free and healthy to eat. More potent when eaten raw.

Raw Oats Porridge

Ingredients to make Raw Oats Porridge

  • Oats 1/4 cup
  • almonds 6
  • walnuts 3
  • dates 3
  • Black currants 6 (halved)
  • banana 1
  • Vanilla essence 1/8 tsp
  • honey 1 tbsp
  • pomegranate for garnish

How to make Raw Oats Porridge

  1. Soak oats overnight in sufficient water.
  2. In separate bowls soak almonds, walnuts and dates.
  3. Peel almonds and walnuts (optional)
  4. Blend oats with dates and honey.
  5. Layer oats nuts fruits or mix all together and top with pomegranate.
