Ingredients to make Paneer tikka masala

  • oil 4 tbsp
  • cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  • asafoetida 1 pinch
  • ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Finally chopped onion 1/2 cup
  • all purpose flour 1 tsp
  • Fresh tomato puree 3/4 cup
  • salt to taste
  • Deggi mirch 1 tsp
  • coriander pwd 1 tbsp
  • cumin pwd 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Thick curd 2 tbsp
  • coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • Kasoori methi 1 tsp
  • Chopped capsicum ( cubes ) 2
  • paneer cubes 300 gm
  • onion in cubes 1
  • Fresh cream 1 tbsp

How to make Paneer tikka masala

  1. First cut all the vegetables and paneer in cubes and keep aside.
  2. Take a bowl, add thick curd, red chilli powder,salt, kasoori methi powder, ginger-garlic paste, a little oil and add all the vegetables and paneer. Mix it all well together.
  3. In a non-stick pan, add 1 table spoon of oil ,then add the marinated paneer and vegetables. Cook on both the sides, once it's done keep aside.
  4. Take a pan and add oil, cumin seeds, onion chopped, pinch of salt, turmeric, ginger-garlic paste, all purpose flour, mix and cook for 3 mins. Now add tomato puree, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, mix it well and let it cook till the oil separates.
  5. Once it is done, add water as needed, bring it to boil, then add the cooked paneer and vegetables, garam masala powder, cream as needed and cook for 3 mins.
  6. Finish it off with coriander leaves and serve.

My Tip:

Toss and cook the marinated paneer with silicon spatula, otherwise it will be mushy.
