Chicken Kathi Roll

Ingredients to make Chicken Kathi Roll

  • Boneless chicken 500 gms (small cubes)
  • onion 1/2 cup chopped
  • ginger paste 1 tsp
  • garlic Paste 1 tsp
  • tomato 1/2 cup chopped
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • cumin Powder 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala 1 tsp
  • green chillies 1 tsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • Whole wheat flour 1 cup
  • maida 1 cup
  • oil 2-3 tbsp
  • egg 1
  • salt 1 tsp
  • Warm water as needed

How to make Chicken Kathi Roll

  1. Heat the oil in a pan and add onions, ginger-garlic paste and salt.
  2. After 2 mins add tomatoes. Cook it for 5 mins.
  3. Now add all the spices and sprinkle some water so that the spices don't burn.
  4. Finally add the chicken and cover it. Cook the chicken completely.
  5. For the dough, mix all the ingredients and make a soft dough.
  6. Cover it for atleast 15-12 minutes. Now roll them just like roti. Put the roti on hot tawa and cook it completely. Finally grease them with some oil.
  7. In a flat board put the roti add spoonful of chicken sprinkle some chopped coriander and onions, finally add some mint chutney on top. Roll them tightly and serve it hot.

My Tip:

The chicken has to be dry. Try to cook and evaporate all the moisture from the chicken.
