ABOUT Aloo kalonji ki sabzi with raita RECIPE

This sabzi served with raita gives you a whole new experience of preparing and eating potatoes into a sabzi.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 3 large sized potatoes, cut into small cubes
  2. Salt as per taste
  3. 3 tsp oil
  4. A pinch of cumin seeds
  5. 1 tsp kalonji
  6. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  7. 1 tsp haldi powder
  8. 1 small sized onion
  9. 1 green chilli
  10. 1/2 cup water
  11. For the raita:
  12. 2 tbsp yogurt
  13. 1 small sized onion
  14. Salt to your taste
  15. 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a cooker and add cumin seeds.
  2. When the cumin seeds start to splutter add the potatoes to it. Then add kalonji, red chilli powder, haldi powder, green chilli, salt and water.
  3. Close the lid and allow it to cook until 2 whistles blow.
  4. For the raita, take the yogurt in a bowl, add the sliced onions, salt and water. Mix them well together.
  5. Transfer the sabzi in a bowl and pour some raita on top of it. You will have an amazing experience of potato sabzi!
