Ingredients to make Pukka (spring onion with potatoes)

  • Spring onion (green leafy part and scallions) 3 cups
  • Potatoes diced small 3/4 cup
  • Tomato 1 diced
  • Salt 3/4 tsp or as per taste
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1/8 tsp
  • Green chilli 1 diced
  • Zeera 1/4 tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp

How to make Pukka (spring onion with potatoes)

  1. Heat oil in a wok and add the zeera.
  2. Then add tomatoes and cook it well. Add the salt, turmeric and red chilli powder. Mix potatoes and cook for some time.
  3. Cook it covered by adding the spring onion. Keep stirring in between.
  4. Check for the tenderness of the potatoes. Remove from the fire and sprinkle garam masala (optional).
  5. Serve it hot with tandoori roti or rice.
