About Tangy Mango Marinade Tandoori Chicken Recipe

Tandoori chicken is chicken dish prepared by roasting chicken marinated in yoghurt and spices in a tandoor, a cylindrical clay oven. It is a popular dish from the Indian subcontinent and has become sought-after in other parts of the world.but here i have done the marination with the mango.

Tangy Mango Marinade Tandoori Chicken

Ingredients to make Tangy Mango Marinade Tandoori Chicken

  • Boneless chicken 500 gms
  • mangoes 2
  • onion 1
  • oil 3 tbsp
  • For sauce thickener::::::-----
  • Cornstarch 1 tsp
  • water 2 tbsp
  • For the Marinade:::::----
  • mango 1/2 cup, Mashed (puree)
  • garlic Cloves 5-6
  • Grounded cumin 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • red chilli to taste
  • mint Leaves a few
  • Black pepper 1/4 tsp

How to make Tangy Mango Marinade Tandoori Chicken

  1. Make bite size pieces of the chicken.Add cornstarch and salt to it and let it rest for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Mash the mango and make mango juice for marinade.
  3. Mix mashed mango and juice and sugar. Marinate chicken in this sauce and keep it for at least 1-2 hours.
  4. Heat oil in a wok and sauté the spring onion and garlic. Add spices(you require)
  5. Add marinated chicken and mix it well.
  6. Preheat oven at 425 °F.
  7. Bake it in oven for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Take it out for platting and pour remaining marinade over it or mango sauce over it. Garnish with mint leaves
