Palak kadhi

Ingredients to make Palak kadhi

  • 1 cup of plain curd
  • 1/4 cup gram flour
  • 2 dried red chillies
  • turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  • 2 tablespoon mustard oil
  • 1 cup roughly spinach
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • salt to taste

How to make Palak kadhi

  1. Combine the curds and gram flour in a deep bowl and whisk till the mixture is smooth. Keep aside
  2. Heat the oil in a deep kadhai, and add the fenugreek seeds. Add asafoetida and dry red chillies.
  3. Once the seeds crackle, add the onions, curds-besan flour mixture, turmeric powder, ginger-green chilli paste.
  4. Add the salt and allow it to boil while stirring continously. Then add the spinach, 1/2 cup water and cook it for 3 to 4 minutes, while stirring it.
  5. Serve it with rice or paratha.
