About Koat Pitha - Mizoram Special Recipe

Koat Pitha also known as Banana Pitha. These fritters are made with banana, rice flour and jaggery.

Ingredients to make Koat Pitha - Mizoram Special

  • banana - 2 (Over ripe and mashed)
  • Rice flour - 1/2 cup
  • jaggery - 1/4 Cup
  • oil - for deep frying

How to make Koat Pitha - Mizoram Special

  1. In a bowl take the mashed banana, mix with jaggery. Slowly add the rice flour to the mixture.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai, then spoon the batter in hot oil. Fry it in medium flame. When the pithas have turned golden brown drain them on tissue paper.
  3. Enjoy with a cup of coffee
