Eggless Gulab Jamun Cake

Ingredients to make Eggless Gulab Jamun Cake

  • All purpose flour- 3/4 cup
  • Baking powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Baking Soda - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - pinch (optional)
  • Gulab Jamun mix - 3/4 cup
  • Powdered sugar - 3/4 -1 cup
  • Oil -1/4 cup
  • Milk -1 cup
  • Cardamom powder -1/2 tsp

How to make Eggless Gulab Jamun Cake

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees. Line a loaf pan or 8" pan.
  2. Sieve the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl. Set it aside.
  3. In a mixer, blend the gulab jamun mix with sugar and cardamom powder. Or just mix it well in a bowl. Add oil to this mix as well.
  4. Now add the flour mix and milk to this gulab jamun mix+ oil mixture, alternately starting and ending with flour. Fold it well.
  5. Pour into a lined tray and bake for about 35-40 mins or till it's done. Cool it well before slicing. Dust with icing sugar.
My Tip: Try it with wholemeal flour/atta and by adding the chopped nuts.
