Fish Masala Curry

Ingredients to make Fish Masala Curry

  • Fish 250 gms
  • tomato 1 Large
  • onion 1 large
  • ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp
  • green chillies 1
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Chili Powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • oil
  • pepper Powder 1 tsp
  • Few coriander leaves
  • Few curry leaves
  • salt as per requirement
  • water as per requirement

How to make Fish Masala Curry

  1. Cut and clean the fish pieces. Marinate the same with salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder for 20 minutes.
  2. Take a deep bottomed pan. Use some oil and add cumin seeds, ginger-garlic paste. Saute till the raw smell goes away.
  3. Cut the onion and tomato into long pieces. Add onion into the pan and stir until its golden brown in colour. Add the tomato and mix it well.
  4. Add all the spices along with the green chilli. Let it become a soft paste mixture, then add 1 cup of water into the same.
  5. Let it boil and add the marinated fish to it. Add curry leaves and salt as per requirement.
  6. Close the pan for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, check whether the water is absorbed and makes a good thick gravy of the same.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it with rice or breads.

My Tip:

Cut the fish into medium sized pieces for more taste.
