ABOUT Mango Rice RECIPE

Mango rice is one of my all time fav from my mom's recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Rice - 2 cups
  2. Raw sour Mango grated - 2 cup
  3. Fresh coconut - 4 tbsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
  6. Seasonging :
  7. Oil - 1/4 cup
  8. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  9. Chana dal - 1 tsp
  10. Green chillies - 3or4, chopped
  11. Curry leaves - few leaves
  12. Peanuts - 2 tbsp
  13. Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
  14. Asafoetida / Hing - 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. Prepare the rice in a pressure cooker.
  2. In a large wok heat oil , add mustard seeds,hing,chana dal, peanuts stir fry till all golden in color, add curry leaves
  3. Add mango and add rice
  4. Sprinkle salt, coconut, and coriander leaves
  5. Mix well thoroughly and serve hot
