Doi Mach (Fish yoghurt curry)

Ingredients to make Doi Mach (Fish yoghurt curry)

  • Washed fish pieces 10 (Rohu/Any other)
  • chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • coriander powder - 1 tbsp
  • turmeric powder - 1 tbsp
  • mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
  • curd - 1/2 cup
  • salt to taste
  • ginger-garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  • mustard oil - 2-3 tbsp to cook
  • Dried kasori methi leaves - 1 tbsp

How to make Doi Mach (Fish yoghurt curry)

  1. Wash the fish pieces nicely, then rub salt and lemon juice. Keep it aside.
  2. Now heat oil in wok add in mustard seeds and let it crackle. Then add ginger-garlic paste and saute.
  3. Add all the spices with a little water and saute it well for some time.
  4. Lastly add the washed fish pieces and mix it well in the masala. Cook it with a little water, then add the whisked curd to it and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Crush the dried kasori methi leaves and add it from the top.
  6. Serve it hot with rice or roti.

My Tip:

Mustard seeds to add flavour and aroma.
