About Pepper chicken Recipe

This is a delicious recipe taught to me by my favourite aunt.

Pepper chicken

Ingredients to make Pepper chicken

  • 1/2 kg boneless chicken
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 1 capsicum
  • 2 inch piece of ginger
  • 2 green chillies
  • 2 tablespoon Soya sauce
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2-3 teaspoon black pepper
  • salt to taste

How to make Pepper chicken

  1. Wash and cut the boneless chicken into bite size pieces.
  2. Next cut the ingredients, capsicum, ginger and green chillies in julienne style.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wok/kadai and put in the onion, ginger, capsicum and green chillies. Stir and fry these ingredients, then add the soya sauce and vinegar.
  4. Next add in the chicken pieces, salt, and combine this mixture thoroughly. Stir it and let it cook for 2 minutes or so.
  5. Now add in 2-3 teaspoon of black pepper and a required amount of water, let this simmer and cook on low heat.
  6. Cook for 10 minutes until the water has almost dried and the chicken is cooked.
  7. Serve this dish hot with bread rolls.

My Tip:

You may add 1 teaspoon sugar instantly after adding the vinegar, this helps to take away some amount of the sourness.
