Aam ki khati mithi chutney

Ingredients to make Aam ki khati mithi chutney

  • 250 gm mango
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • Salt as required
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masla
  • 1/2 tsp mustard/ tori seeds
  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds/ til
  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek/ methi seeds
  • 1/2 tsp jeera/cumin seeds

How to make Aam ki khati mithi chutney

  1. Wash and peel the mangoes and cut them into small pieces. Keep aside.
  2. Take a kadai, heat mustard oil till a smoking point, then add the cumin, mustard and fenugreek seeds into it. Then add the mango pieces and stir well.
  3. Next, add in sugar, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala. Continue stirring and mash the mangoes once they are cooked well.
  4. Serve with a garnish of sesame seeds on top.

My Tip:

You can use jaggery as well instead of sugar.
