Ingredients to make Channa Chaat Two ways

  • For the Vegetable Channa Chaat:
  • 1 cup boiled chickpeas
  • 1/2 red capsicum chopped
  • 1/2 green capsicum chopped
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp mint powder
  • Salt to tast
  • Juice of one lemon
  • For the Yogurt Channa Chaat
  • 1 cup boiled chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 tsp mint powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 boiled potato chopped
  • 4-5 pieces of crisp papdi or mathi
  • a pinch of cumin powder

How to make Channa Chaat Two ways

  1. 1. For the vegetable channa chaat, mix all the ingredients together except for the salt and lemon. Chill
  2. 2. Just before serving, add the lemon and salt.
  3. 3. For the yogurt channa chaat, mix all the ingredients together except for the papdi and red chilli powder. Chill
  4. 4. Just before serving crush the papdi over the channa chaat and mix well. Top with red chilli and serve immediately.
