Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Beetroot boiled and grated 2no
  2. Chana daal soaked 1cup
  3. Cinnamon 1 "
  4. Peppercorn 15
  5. Cloves 8
  6. Green cardamom 4
  7. Cumin seeds 2tsp
  8. Bayleaf 2
  9. Dry red chilli 2
  10. Mustard oil 1tbsp
  11. Ginger garlic paste 2tsp
  12. Asafoetida 1/4tsp
  13. Onion finely chopped 1
  14. Finely chopped coriander leaves handful
  15. Finely chopped mint leaves handful
  16. White sesame seeds 4-5tbsp
  17. Oil as needed for frying
  18. Salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. PUT EVERYTHING IN THE PRESSURE COOKER.
  2. ADD SALT TO TASTE.
  3. ADD 1TBSP MUSTARD OIL AND
  4. 1 CUP WATER.
  5. AFTER PRESSURE SUBSIDES, OPEN THE LID AND COOK TILL THERE IS LITTLE OR NO WATER REMAINS.
  6. ADD DAAL PASTE, SALT, 2TSP GINGER GARLIC PASTE AND 1/4TSP ASAFOETIDA.
  7. MIX WELL.
  8. ADD 1 FINELY CHOPPED ONION,
  9. CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES,
  10. CHOPPED MINT LEAVES.
  11. MIX WELL.
  12. TAKE SMALL QUANTITY OF THE MIXTURE AND MAKE ROUND SHAPED BALLS.
  13. PRESS AND SHAPE IT AS A FLAT KEBAB.
  14. REPEAT THE SAME PROCESS FOR REST OF THE MIXTURE.
  15. SPRINKLE WHITE SESAME SEEDS ON THE KEBABS AND PRESS LIGHTLY.
  16. HEAT OIL IN A PAN AND SHALLOW FRY THESE KEBABS ON MEDIUM HEAT.
  17. FLIP AND COOK BOTH THE SIDES.
