ABOUT Fajeto (Mango Kadhi) RECIPE

Fajeto is a delicious curry made from mango, curd, and a medley of Indian spices. Everybody loves mangoes, so we thought why not give a sweet n’ sour twist to your basic kadhi with this easy to make Fajeto recipe This summer special delicacy is a burst of flavors and we are sure it will delight your taste buds in this scorching heat. Serve it with brown rice and we bet you will be tempted for a second serving.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 cup fresh mango pulp
  2. 1 cup curd
  3. 3 tbsp gram flour
  4. 1 tsp green chili paste
  5. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  6. salt
  7. 2 cups water
  8. 1 tsp oil
  9. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  10. 1/2 tsp cumin Seeds
  11. 1/4 tsp hing
  12. 4-5 round red chilies
  13. 10-12 curry leaves
  14. 1 tbsp jaggery
  15. 1/4 tsp ginger powder

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, make the curd-mango mixture using mango purée, curd, gram flour, green chili paste, turmeric, salt, and water.
  2. . Heat some oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, red chili, curry leaves and mix.
  3. Now, pour the curd-mango mixture, jaggery and cook it.
  4. Season it with ginger powder and serve garnished with coriander.
