Basanti Pulao

Ingredients to make Basanti Pulao

  • 500 GM GOBINDO VOG rice
  • 3 TBSP ghee
  • 5 TBSP oil
  • 2 INCH cinnamon STICK
  • 3 Green cardamoms
  • 2 bay leaves
  • sugar to taste
  • salt to taste
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • cashew
  • Cherries
  • raisins

How to make Basanti Pulao

  1. HEAT A BOWL IN THE MICROWAVE FOR 30 SECONDS.
  2. ADD GHEE, OIL, BAY LEAF, CARDAMOM, ELAICHI INTO A BOWL AND HEAT IT AGAIN FOR 30 SECONDS IN MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE.
  3. ADD THE SOAKED RICE (ABOUT 30 MINS) INTO THE BOWL. THEN ADD SALT, SUGAR, WATER AND TURMERIC POWDER.
  4. COOK IT FOR 8 MINS AT THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE.
  5. CHECK THE SWEETNESS, DRYNESS, IF NEEDED (IF THE WATER IS STILL THERE). COOK FOR A FEW MORE MINS CAREFULLY AND ADD THE DRY FRUITS.

My Tip:

For 3 cups of rice, add 4 cups of water if you are cooking gobindovog rice.
